People's Award for Best European Actress:  Björk

Stellan attended the evening having been nominated for Best European Actor for his performance in Aberdeen; however, Sergio Lopez won. Stellan, however, did accept awards on behalf of Lars and Björk. He said, "I do not know if Lars von Trier realizes he became popular at some point."


He was nominated in 2001 for Best European Actor for Taking Sides


He attended the European Film Awards in 2004


The EFA Conference 2004 was held in Barcelona, Spain on Saturday, December 11th. Stellan participated in an actors summit called "Shop Talk: Actors Talk about their Work."  Hungarian director István Szabó (Taking Sides) and Stellan led a conversation on the topic of "European Stars: Illusion or Reality?".
